Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Bountee for using the service. By creating an account or using Bountee you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.

1. What Bountee does

Bountee watches public conversations and the channels you connect, finds people asking for what your business sells, drafts replies in your voice, and helps you follow up, book meetings and keep your CRM current. Some features are new and may change as we learn; we tell you before we remove something you pay for.

2. Your account and your team

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in and API keys secret, and tell us at once if you think someone else is using them. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what the people you invite do there. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business.

3. You speak for yourself in every community

Bountee drafts; you decide. Replies are posted from your own accounts and in your name, so you are responsible for what you approve. Follow the rules of each platform and community you take part in, and the laws that apply to you, including anti-spam and telemarketing laws. Do not use Bountee to harass, deceive, impersonate anyone, or send unsolicited bulk messages. Bountee checks each draft against the community's rules and pacing limits and respects opt-outs, but those checks help you; they do not replace your judgment.

4. Autonomy

Nothing is sent without a person approving it unless you switch on autonomy for a kind of reply in a community. Autonomy works only within the limits you set, and you can turn it off at any time. You are responsible for replies sent under the autonomy you allowed.

5. Voice Line

You confirm you have the right to use the phone number you connect. The assistant tells every caller that it is an AI and that the call is transcribed; if the law where you operate requires more notice, you are responsible for giving it. Voice Line answers calls and texts back people who called; it never places calls on its own.

6. Plans, trials and billing

7. Your content and data

You own your content: your business description, writing samples, drafts, replies and records. You give us permission to process it only to provide and support the service. We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics, such as which kinds of communities lead to meetings, to improve Bountee for every customer; they never identify you, your business, or the people in the conversations. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy page.

8. Acceptable use of the service

Do not break the law with Bountee, try to get around its limits or safety checks, access another customer's data, overload or probe the service without our written permission, copy it to build a competing product, or use its output to train a model that competes with it.

9. Other services you connect

Integrations such as Google, Microsoft, Slack, Zapier, LinkedIn, Yelp and your CRM are provided by those companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, and they may change or end what they offer.

10. AI output

Drafts, summaries, scores and transcripts are produced by AI and can be wrong. Read what you approve.

11. Availability and suspension

We work to keep Bountee available and secure but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law or the safety of others prevents it.

12. Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in Billing. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or at once for a serious breach. After an account ends you have 30 days to export your data; then we delete it as described on the privacy page.

13. Disclaimers and limits

Bountee is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. You will defend us against claims that arise from what you post or send using Bountee or from your breach of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the date at the top and tell account owners by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect.
